Vibeke Fonnesberg Schmidt
Vibeke Fonnesberg Schmidt creates exclusive bespoke lighting pieces. Working with plexiglass and brass, she develops lamps shaped by a close dialogue between colour, transparency, and form. Layered hues and shifting light create depth and visual presence, while patinated brass adds a warmer, tactile tone. Each lamp is a sculptural object that brings a composed architectural presence to a space. She also creates larger installations by grouping multiple lamps. Vibeke Fonnesberg Schmidt collaborates with Nilufar Gallery in Milan and designs for Gubi.
During 3daysofdesign, Vibeke Fonnesberg Schmidt opens her new studio at Islands Brygge. Explore her lighting designs—both new works and existing pieces—experience their material presence firsthand, and see how the lamps interact with space and light.
