Introducing Display / Displayed, a group exhibition for 3daysofdesign in collaboration with Simone Book Services that looks at objects of and for display across books, design, and photography. An exercise in creative collaboration, the presentation has been curated and produced by marketing agency Large Office, photography studio Mannners, sculptor Nicholas Shurey, and brand consultant Rhya Johnston-Wallace. Bringing together the works of international artists and local collaborators, it features works from Aarticles (Copenhagen), Anton Defant & Karst (Berlin), Derya Arpaç (Copenhagen), Jessi Burch (New York), Justine Menard (Barcelona), Luna Schulze (Copenhagen), Nicholas Shurey (Copenhagen), and Palsgaard kunstauktioner (Brøndby).

Objects on display are often mistaken for objects of frivolity. In truth, the desire to display an object in one’s home does not negate its function. Rather, it stands to reason that its function works in tandem with its decorative appeal. And aren’t we, after all, much more likely to impart use and meaning on an object that lives out in the open?

A fireplace is often the centrepiece of a room and Eldvarm was founded on the belief that the objects alongside it should be beautiful enough to deserve that position. Eldvarm is a Scandinavian brand built on the idea that beauty is not surface, it is what makes something worth keeping. Every piece is made to do its job well and to stay beautiful doing it, year after year. What started with fireplace accessories has grown into a wider collection for the rituals of gathering around a flame.

Nosou is a contemporary Japanese design brand rooted in natural materials and traditional craftsmanship. Guided by the theme 'Time Makes Beauty,' they embrace natural aging in their products, as a form of beauty that deepens over time. Their first collection features lighting crafted from bamboo sourced in Kyoto. Inspired by Wabi–Sabi, each handcrafted piece develops its own character through years of use, becoming a unique object to be cherished. Light is adjusted by moving the fixture itself, offering a tactile and intuitive experience.

Since its founding in 1960, the company has developed a strong international presence through collaborations with leading designers worldwide. Working with designers who regard simplicity as a method rather than a gesture, the brand develops objects that endure beyond seasonal trends. Seino Takashi Design is a design company founded in Chiba, Japan, in 2020 by Takashi Seino. Guided by the theme of universality, the studio works across interior and product design, carefully considering the relationship between people, objects and spaces while valuing materials. Its designs emerge through dialogue, embracing clients, users, materials and nature. The philosophy is inspired by the Japanese concept Sampō Yoshi—“good for the seller, good for the buyer, and good for society.” This principle guides the studio beyond profit, encouraging meaningful contributions to society and fostering long–term relationships built on trust.

Established in 2020 in Armenia, OCHRE merges artistic ideas with artisanal expertise to craft objects for everyday life. At the heart of OCHRE’s practice is wool—a material that serves as both a physical foundation and a source of reflection. Yet wool is a starting point, never an obligatory final destination. In recent years, OCHRE’s collections have expanded into the world of embroidery, ceramics, and beyond. OCHRE creates objects for everyday life, guided by a search for more sustainable ways of relating to materials, to histories, and to one another.

Bundle Studio is a Copenhagen based design studio working at the intersection of material research and industrial furniture production. The studio develops furniture and objects through a hands on process where structure, material behavior and construction define the expression. The practice includes work with natural fibre composites and biobased adhesives. With a curiosity for new and bio based materials, each project explores how emerging materials shape form, tactility and use. Rather than applying a predefined style, the studio lets material logic guide proportion and detail. The work aims to support a gradual green transition within the furniture industry through design and long term collaborations with manufacturers.
