Founded in the late 1980s, Davide Groppi is an Italian lighting company recognised for the production of original and unique products distributed the world over, in which simplicity, weightlessness, emotion, creative invention and amazement are the fundamental ingredients. Making light is not just a technical gesture, it is getting closer to people on a more personal and intimate level. The lighting solutions Davide Groppi invents every day are his language to seduce and excite. Lamps are like the letters of an alphabet used to write anagrams, words and stories of light. Davide Groppi work obtained prestigious international awards and became part of the permanent collections of important design museums.

Lighting plays a fundamental role in shaping an emotional journey, revealing new perspectives, unexpected angles, and intricate details. Davide Groppi’s solutions offer the freedom to compose light within a space, creating dynamic and atmospheric environments. During 3daysofdesign at File Under Pop, the fundamental states of light—direct, indirect, and diffuse—are explored to define pathways, highlight key areas, and enhance spatial functions. Each lamp and project carries a unique narrative, where light becomes a tool for seduction, emotion, and storytelling—illuminating both space and experience.

Graduate designer Anke Neumann makes handmade paper glow in an unusual way. In her workshop, she makes large–format papers, incorporating light–conducting fibres. Similar to veins, these run through the paper surface and also form a kind of framework that contributes to the stability of the form. LED light is guided through the fibres and emitted laterally outwards in the paper layer. Together with the material aesthetics and design language, the light papers combine sculpture, luminaire and unique piece. They are not just objects that attract a lot of attention due to their shape. They are capable of enchanting a room, bathing it in poetic light.
