CHICHOIMAO

Founded in Hong Kong in 2019, CHICHOIMAO is a woodworking studio co–founded by one human and two cats. Its name, 自在貓，Cantonese for a “cat at ease,” reflects a philosophy of in the moment. Although the Year of Singularity nears, the studio still believes human touch and emotional memories still count, preserved through analogue creations rather than digital ones. Every work is handcrafted with joinery techniques to honour minimalist forms and the tactile warmth of timber. These pieces bring harmony to modern homes, helping people slow down and find beauty in the lasting, soulful moments of the everyday.

During 3daysofdesign 2026, CHICHOIMAO will host an intimate pop–up exhibition in Copenhagen. The space, set up as a small, curated living room, will showcase the brand’s philosophy of “cat at ease.” Visitors can explore selected collections and discover the latest products launched.

Fogia’s mission as a furniture maker is to turn exceptional ideas into well–crafted pieces. Founded in 2019, Material Matters is a platform dedicated to exploring the role of material intelligence in architecture and design. With more than 140 podcasts published and four acclaimed editions of its annual fair staged in London, the brand made its international debut in Copenhagen in 2025 as part of 3daysofdesign—an appearance that exceeded expectations and confirmed the appetite for a deeper, more material–led conversation. Building on the success of last year, Material Matters returns to 3daysofdesign taking up, once again, the residence in the heart of Christianshavn, positioned as a key destination within the city.

Based in Uji, Kyoto, Asahiyaki is among the oldest ceramic kilns in Japan, having crafted tea wares in the same family for 425 years. This rich history provides a unique perspective of time. Clay used today was extracted two generations ago, just as new clay is prepared for future generations. Tea vessels are not considered complete when they emerge from the kiln; they reach fulfilment gradually, through years of daily use. Besides making artistic pieces for the tea ceremony and sencha wares for daily use, Asahiyaki collaborates with global brands and restaurants on bespoke tableware collections. Every piece is thrown by hand on the pottery wheel by skilled artisans.

The brand’s design language fuses innovative thinking with classic craftsmanship and a rich design heritage. Wood lies at the heart of each piece, thoughtfully combined with materials such as leather, laminate, stainless steel and Corian® to create furniture focused on aesthetics, comfort and functionality. Meticulous attention is given to every detail. Naver Collection collaborates with both national and international designers, including Hans Sandgren Jakobsen, Henrik Lehm, Susanne Grønlund, Nissen & Gehl MDD and Gehl & Møller.

Jo Andersson Studios is a contemporary glass art and design studio based in Sweden. Exploring light, colour and form, the studio creates bold, hand–blown glass sculptures, lighting and unique art objects. An emphasis on movement and presence runs through the work. Rooted in studio craft and material exploration, the practice balances sculptural expression with functional design, creating works that engage both space and perception.
