PANI JUREK is a design studio combined with a ceramics workshop, run by Magda Jurek and Michał Borecki. It operates at the intersection of design, craftsmanship, and art. The objects created by Studio Pani Jurek go beyond their stereotypical functions, with interactivity being an inherent feature. Conceived as elements of spatial compositions, they often change depending on their surroundings and users. A distinctive trait of the studio’s projects is colour—a result of Magda Jurek’s background in painting. While functionality is not the starting point in the creation process, it is never neglected. Ergonomics and design discipline help tame imagination and material.
The exhibition 'Honest Craftsmanship—the impact of Polish heartbeat' promotes contemporary Polish design, applied arts and craftsmanship on the international stage, with a focus on the Scandinavian market. It aims to present Poland as a modern, creative country open to cultural dialogue while valuing quality, tradition and skilled workmanship. The project builds a bridge between Polish and Danish design scenes, highlighting shared values of simplicity, functionality and material sensitivity. This curated selection spans furniture, functional objects, artistic crafts and lighting. Shown in Copenhagen, it juxtaposes Polish aesthetics with Denmark’s modern craft tradition.
