Søuld is an innovative Danish material manufacturer committed to providing CO₂—storing and recyclable acoustic materials made from eelgrass to forward-thinking designers, builders and end–users. Søuld produces functional and beautiful alternatives to traditional building materials, while improving human health and well–being. Søuld’s eelgrass products originate from the sea—a place you are never far from in Søuld’s native Denmark. The organic material embodies the same sense of calm provided by the sea and when taken indoors, it imbues living spaces with a restorative connection to nature.

Studio Retreat—Living with nature. Step into a space where design meets nature in a harmonious balance—Studio Retreat presents a curated exhibition celebrating mindful, sustainable living. During 3daysofdesign, four Danish brands — Motarasu, RYE, Søuld and WeDoWood — transform an intimate studio apartment into a living experience inspired by nature. From the organic beauty of wood and tactility of eelgrass, to the elegance of minimalist design, the exhibition invites you to surround yourself with natural materials that enhance your space and support a sustainable future. Studio Retreat embraces the simplicity and serenity that nature offers, where aesthetics, comfort, and sustainability come together.

The collection proposes designs with lighting that does not dazzle, soft, that collects and integrates into the space, whether it is indoors or outdoors. Through the language of light, the Marset collection wants to bring beauty, reveal textures, highlight spaces, and make them more liveable.

By KlipKlap designs adapt to both time and individual needs—what the brand calls 'design for generations.' This philosophy stems from the belief that furniture lasts longer when it supports a multifunctional way of living. Founded in 2010, By KlipKlap began with the purpose of enhancing and stimulating children’s motor skills through multifunctional mattresses. Each piece is crafted using durable textiles and high-quality foam that retains its shape, even after years of extensive use. The mattresses can be folded in various ways, encouraging hours of activity and quality time for all family members. From essential tummy time for babies to toddler play, teenage lounging, and even serving as a guest bed, the designs evolve with every stage of life.

Atlast éditions creates soulful, handcrafted objects that celebrate artisanal heritage and timeless craftsmanship. Founded by Sarah Rousselle, Atlast collaborates with Usukiyaki artisans in Usuki City, Japan, to produce the Gloria tableware collection—everyday objects with deep historical roots, reimagined for modern living.

Each piece is shaped using the Katauchi technique, where clay sheets are carefully pressed over hand-carved plaster moulds. This method preserves the warmth of handmade tradition, allowing for delicate details and organic variations. Finished in white gloss, soft matte, or bronze glazes, Atlast offers a refined, tactile experience, making every meal a moment of understated luxury.

Tools for Everyday Life is a project showcasing the community of practice surrounding the BA Furniture and Product Design programme at Northumbria University. This community has evolved through a dialogical approach to teaching and learning, where academic and technical staff act as facilitators in an ongoing process of shared inquiry with students. The project sets design briefs to create everyday objects that bring joy in use, proposing artefacts that recognise and celebrate the innumerable skilled actions that shape daily life. The aim is to draw inspiration from materials and processes that not only define the objects people interact with but also shape the relationship with the surrounding environment.
