What makes something worth keeping? In a world of constant accumulation, “Things That Matter” asks us to look beyond aesthetics, beyond function. Do the objects we surround ourselves with hold memory, meaning, and emotional value? Or are they simply occupying space? With a headline talk by British artist and designer Yinka Ilori, this session explores the idea that design is not about having more. It’s about appreciating what we already have and choose to keep. If something doesn’t add to your life, perhaps it’s time to subtract it, and rediscover what truly matters.
