Throughout history, tools have been crucial to humanity’s ability to survive and innovate, from primitive stone tools to advanced machinery, tools have been key to shaping the world.

VÆRKTØJ is an exhibition format that aims to communicate and demonstrate how the identities of designers are largely shaped by the tools they use; as tools not only drive the development of ideas and creative processes but also leave a distinct mark on the final product.

The New Raw crafts sustainable furniture for indoor and outdoor spaces using robotic 3D printing and plastic waste. By blending digital precision with traditional craftsmanship, the studio designs tactile pieces with layered textures and organic forms. Each product is heavy-duty, long-lasting, and 100% circular, while the production process embraces natural irregularities, highlighting the beauty of raw materials. Committed to innovation in both product development and commissioned projects, The New Raw redefines waste through meticulous craft and sustainable design.

Founded in Rotterdam in 2016 by Panos Sakkas and Foteini Setaki.
