Royal Copenhagen was founded in 1775 under patronage of the Danish monarchy. For more than two centuries, the company has manufactured porcelain with the deepest respect for the tradition of fine craftsmanship. Royal Copenhagen is world-renowned for its iconic hand-painted porcelain and bold interpretation of the porcelain factory’s rich design legacy.

In an museological exercise at the flagship store on Amagertorv 6, Royal Copenhagen and Griegst unveil a siren-guarded treasure from the archives. Celebrating one of the most spectacular and visionary showpieces from Royal Copenhagen’s rich tradition of artist collaborations, the exhibition transports guests to strange shores and presents the resurrection and new incarnation of a porcelain masterpiece. The showcase reawakens the Surreal magic created in this meeting between two pinnacles of uncompromising art and craftsmanship, and the artistic freedom Royal Copenhagen has always sought to cultivate.

Based in Uji, Kyoto, Asahiyaki is among the oldest ceramic kilns in Japan, having crafted tea wares in the same family for 425 years.
This rich history provides a unique perspective of time. Clay used today was extracted two generations ago, just as new clay is prepared for future generations. Tea vessels are not considered complete when they emerge from the kiln; they reach fulfilment gradually, through years of daily use. Besides making artistic pieces for the tea ceremony and sencha wares for daily use, Asahiyaki collaborates with global brands and restaurants on bespoke tableware collections. Every piece is thrown by hand on the pottery wheel by skilled artisans.

Conceived as part gallery, part archive, and part marketplace, aarticles is a place to encounter crafted design through process, presence and material intelligence. It began from the belief that objects gain depth through company. New commissions and found objects enter the same catalogue, with each collection joining what came before and leaving room for what follows. The platform was formed as a way of looking closely, placing contemporary and found objects within a longer craft lineage and recognising their measured persistence across generations.

Life is too short for boring lighting. At Wever & Ducré, they know it—the familiar glimpse at the ceiling during which one thinks: “Well, everyone really does have that light.” That is why they strive to achieve lighting solutions that first and foremost fit the description: unique. Who inspires them in the process? People like you, who share their enthusiasm for beautiful things and attach as much importance to noble design as to high-quality workmanship. Does it sound passionate? Well, that’s exactly what it is. After all, life is simply far too short for boring light fixtures.
