LOUISE ROE, the Danish designer, has shaped her eponymous brand with a strong artistic vision and a deep appreciation for European craftsmanship. Her designs, rooted in minimalism yet infused with an avant–garde sensibility, emphasise sculptural forms and the inherent character of natural materials. Through artisanal techniques, she creates objects and furniture that are both timeless and enduring. In 2018, she opened LOUISE ROE GALLERY in the heart of Copenhagen. Today, the flagship store attracts visitors from around the world, offering an immersive experience alongside its café, THE ROE BAR.

For this year’s 3daysofdesign, LOUISE ROE invites you to stay a little longer, with Louise Roe Gallery activated as an extension of The Roe Bar—a space that already exists as a social interior, now brought into focus as both experience and presentation. Rather than a traditional exhibition, the installation unfolds as a lived environment: a café, a place to sit, gather, and linger. Furniture and objects are introduced through use, where hospitality becomes the gesture. Rooted in hospitality, tradition, and shared dining, the activation offers an intimate way to encounter the new Frankie Café Chair and Table alongside The Person Glass Lamp.

Based in India, the studio is rooted in ancient wisdom, where sustainability and care are integral to everyday living. Working closely with local artisans and locally sourced wood, the furniture draws from South Asian traditions of sitting and spatial setting. Naturally seasoned, aged trees—crafted without nails or screws—form the core language of the work. A life–centred approach ensures no harmful disruptors enter the environment, protecting everyone from maker to end user. Continually pushing the boundaries of furniture typology, the studio explores Indian minimalism while revisiting traditional skills through a contemporary lens, creating pieces that hold space and life in equal measure.
