SAIKAIHOP, by Saikai Europe, traces its origins to the Japanese town of Hasami, where the history of porcelain production and innovation spans more than 400 years. As a subsidiary of ceramics trading company Saikai Toki, Saikai Europe’s operations centre on a lineup of original brands merging contemporary design with Hasami’s manufacturing expertise. In addition to its in–house collections, Saikai Europe provides distribution services in the European market, working closely with Japanese brands and makers dedicated to quality, craftsmanship and the creation of timeless wares. Driven to enhance quality of life through everyday items, Saikai Europe is committed to building brands, products and partnerships of an enduring nature.

On the occasion of 3daysofdesign, Johan Borups Højskole opens the doors to its historic mansion in Copenhagen’s Cultural District, inviting visitors to explore the graduation showcase by emerging Nordic voices. This semester’s final exhibitions feature a project from Design & Ceramics—an artistic education where tradition meets contemporary culture in an open, exploratory atmosphere. Set within the school’s historic courtyard and interiors, the showcase highlight the culmination of a semester shaped by dialogue, curiosity, and craftsmanship. Founded in 1891, Johan Borups' is a Danish ‘højskole’—a creative community based on growth, collab and reflection.

BY EVE, founded by designer Sandra Peters, explores light through the purity of mouth-blown glass and timeless form. Each lamp is individually crafted, giving every piece a unique presence. Defined by organic shapes and refined simplicity, the collection combines glass with materials such as wood and metal to create balanced, atmospheric lighting. Free from unnecessary detail, the designs allow light, material and form to take center stage. Vlad Oganov Objects is a contemporary lighting studio based in Warsaw, creating sculptural lamps through digital fabrication and small–series production. The brand explores 3D printing as a design and making tool to achieve a timeless aesthetic, tactile surfaces, and softly diffused light. Influenced by Bauhaus clarity and Italian design of the 1970s, each lamp is conceived as a complete object—visually engaging both when illuminated and when at rest. Designed as integral elements of an interior, the objects shape atmosphere through warmth, proportion, and calm presence, combining modern technology with a craft–driven approach to lighting.

Unwanted fibre becomes an UNWONTED experience. The brand makes alpaca duvets from fibres that would otherwise go unused. Across Poland, 47 small farmhouses produce fleece in quantities too small for industrial processing. UNWONTED collects, grades, and processes these volumes into duvets with GOTS–certified organic cotton shells, entirely free of synthetic components. Founded in 2025, the brand bridges Copenhagen design and Polish agriculture, where the founder's father and sister trained as professional shearers to supply the collection. Collection that is limited by the natural shearing cycle. Alpaca fibres accounts for 0.05% of world textile production and the experience of sleeping under it remains unfamiliar to most.
