SAIKAIHOP, by Saikai Europe, traces its origins to the Japanese town of Hasami, where the history of porcelain production and innovation spans more than 400 years. As a subsidiary of ceramics trading company Saikai Toki, Saikai Europe’s operations centre on a lineup of original brands merging contemporary design with Hasami’s manufacturing expertise. In addition to its in–house collections, Saikai Europe provides distribution services in the European market, working closely with Japanese brands and makers dedicated to quality, craftsmanship and the creation of timeless wares. Vipp is a Danish, 3rd generation family–owned design company. Founded by metalsmith Holger Nielsen in the small town of Randers, Denmark in 1939, his entrepreneurial debut was a practical waste bin initially crafted for his wife’s hair salon. When Holger passes away in the beginning of the nineties, his daughter Jette inherits the bin and a metal workshop in the backyard of her childhood home in Randers. Joined by her children, Kasper and Sofie, they set out to transform the bin into a brand.Today, with its steadfast commitment to product engineering and design, Vipp equals a full–blown design universe of furniture, lighting, accessories, kitchens, and guesthouses.

Galleri Sonja is visiting from Bornholm. Once a saddle maker’s shop from the early 1800s, Galleri Sonja is now a place where craft, culture, and community meet in the gentle rhythm of slow living. The gallery is not only a space for experiencing art, it is also a space where knowledge of craft is shared and passed on. Through exhibitions and conversations, Galleri Sonja helps preserve and expand understanding of traditional and contemporary craft. Inspired by Bornholm’s nature and light, its tactile materials resonate with works by local and international artists. During 3daysofdesign, you can visit Galleri Sonja in Kvindernes Bygning.

BEFORE VINTAGE FURNITURE creates furniture using wood that holds genuine value but had lost its place in the market for various reasons. Through precise craftsmanship and an architectural approach, the brand gives these materials a new future. Each piece of furniture is individually numbered, reflecting the belief that furniture becomes more meaningful as it ages alongside its owner. By revealing the quiet power of sleeping wood, the brand expresses honesty toward the material and the possibility for each piece to mature into a future vintage.

FRAMING is a joint exhibition during 3daysofdesign, showcasing exclusive design brands and their novelties in an inspiring and relevant way. The Odd Fellow Palace will once again provide the setting for the joint exhibition of FRAMING. All three floors of the impressive rococo building from the mid–1700, including the two wings, will offer space indoor as well as outdoor to national and international brands alike. There will also be a solo exhibition at the Harsdorff House on Kongens Nytorv 5, just a stone's throw away from the main exhibition in Bredgade. This year marks the sixth edition of FRAMING with more than 40 brands exhibiting.
