SAIKAIHOP, by Saikai Europe, traces its origins to the Japanese town of Hasami, where the history of porcelain production and innovation spans more than 400 years. As a subsidiary of ceramics trading company Saikai Toki, Saikai Europe’s operations centre on a lineup of original brands merging contemporary design with Hasami’s manufacturing expertise. In addition to its in–house collections, Saikai Europe provides distribution services in the European market, working closely with Japanese brands and makers dedicated to quality, craftsmanship and the creation of timeless wares. Driven to enhance quality of life through everyday items, Saikai Europe is committed to building brands, products and partnerships of an enduring nature.

Pit–To–Table is a materials manufacturer transforming agricultural waste into sustainable interior surfaces. Produced in Cyprus, Pit–Board is a bio–composite panel made from discarded olive pits sourced from local olive farms. By turning an abundant by–product of the olive industry into a functional design material, Pit–To–Table supports circular production and reduces waste. Designed for interior architecture and furniture applications, Pit–Board combines natural texture with durability and a warm, distinctive appearance. The material offers designers a renewable alternative to conventional boards while connecting contemporary spaces to Mediterranean agricultural heritage.

Jan Kath Design has revolutionised the world of rugs. For nearly 30 years, the brand has been shaping the international design scene with its work. While the creative language spans a broad spectrum, production remains deliberately rooted in tradition. Each carpet is crafted using centuries–old hand–knotting techniques in selected workshops in Nepal and India, certified for sustainability by the Swiss label STEP. Knot by knot, skilled artisans translate the designs into textile art. Only premium natural materials are used, including hand–combed Tibetan highland wool, fine Chinese silk, and Nepalese nettle. This balanced material composition gives the rugs a distinctive tactile quality and a deep, layered presence beyond the surface.

ReCraft Design Studio is a Copenhagen-based practice working with reclaimed materials, including demolition waste and production offcuts, to create architectural elements and spatial interventions. Through hands-on experimentation and material research, the studio explores how existing resources can be reintroduced into contemporary design. Focusing on irregular and overlooked materials, ReCraft reveals the inherent qualities of what is already in circulation, extending its life while opening up new possibilities for use. Rather than concealing a materials history, the studio embraces it, allowing surfaces and traces of previous lives to inform new architectural applications.

Copenhagen based Icelandic designer Dögg Guðmundsdóttir creates nature inspired products with emotional appeal and a distinctive touch of Nordic originality. Many of her designs are based on foundational structures or pieces of art, while others form part of a collection. For this exhibition, nature is not merely an inspiration but an integral part of the essence of the works and of the installation, created in collaboration with Dýpi—an ocean paint made from calcareous algae harvested in Iceland. Dýpi was nominated for the Icelandic Design Awards 2025 for its product that is exceptionally breathable, environmentally friendly, plastic–free, and an innovative use of abundant natural materials.

The company designs and produces sofas, armchairs, lounge chairs, daybeds, poufs and benches, all crafted by skilled artisans at its own factory in Denmark, where traditional upholstery meets modern production techniques. Modern Metier is a French design platform with a curated selection of contemporary brands and progressive designers. Working with talents from Paris to Stockholm, the platform represents a select roster of European designers, each distinguished by a singular perspective and original point of view. The name “métier,” drawn from the French word for craft, reflects the studio’s commitment to quality and enduring craftsmanship. In 2024, Modern Metier introduced its first collection of furniture and lighting named 'Solstice' in collaboration with French designer Léa Zeroil. Each piece is developed in close dialogue with the designer and local artisans specialising in woodwork, ceramics, upholstery and metalwork.
