SAIKAIHOP, by Saikai Europe, traces its origins to the Japanese town of Hasami, where the history of porcelain production and innovation spans more than 400 years. As a subsidiary of ceramics trading company Saikai Toki, Saikai Europe’s operations centre on a lineup of original brands merging contemporary design with Hasami’s manufacturing expertise. In addition to its in–house collections, Saikai Europe provides distribution services in the European market, working closely with Japanese brands and makers dedicated to quality, craftsmanship and the creation of timeless wares. Their new studio—an old butcher shop transformed into a ceramic studio—reflects this approach: original materials, honest processes, and modern design. Sibast Furniture is a Danish family company with a proud heritage of fine furniture craftsmanship dating back to 1908. Since 2013, the fourth generation has continued the legacy, combining respectful reissues of iconic 1950s designs by Helge Sibast, Arne Vodder, and Piet Hein with new timeless pieces created with contemporary designers like Kasper Eistrup, Naja Utzon Popov, and Morten Anker. In 2025, Sibast expanded with the acquisition of Bent Hansen, adding sculptural comfort and upholstery expertise, including signature designs like the Primum chair. The collection unites heritage, craftsmanship, and modern design for homes, hotels, and global projects, built to be passed on to future generations.
