SAIKAIHOP, by Saikai Europe, traces its origins to the Japanese town of Hasami, where the history of porcelain production and innovation spans more than 400 years. It all started more than 125 years ago, with two families—the Miele and Zinkann families. The engineer Carl Miele and the businessman Reinhard Zinkann founded a company for the manufacture of cream separators in Herzebrock. Their guiding principle becomes the business philosophy: Immer besser. Miele appliances, whether they are used for laundry care, vacuuming or in the kitchen, are subjected to the strictest stress and endurance tests before they are launched on the market. Miele design represents innovation, value and timeless elegance. It shapes the relationship between the person and the product, meets expectations, facilitates handling and creates trust.

Cyprus Handicraft was established in 1975 to record and preserve various traditional sectors and techniques of Cypriot handicrafts with a view to promoting the economic development of each sector. Since then, its role has expanded to include design innovation programs that promote research, participation in international trade fairs, and the production of exhibitions highlighting the work of Cyprus master craftsmen, artists and designers. They believe in the dynamic nature of the Cypriot cultural identity and encourage a blend of traditional and contemporary craftsmanship in order for artists' work to be internationally appealing.
