That’s why design isn’t just about creating something new; it’s also about improving what we already have, making it more beautiful, functional, playful, and appealing. It’s about listening to people’s needs and involving them in creating the solutions of the future. At Kolding School of Design, creative people from all over the world come together to do just that—through craftsmanship, artistic expression, and research. The teaching is based on practical experience, the latest knowledge, and close collaboration with the outside world.

The furniture is still made by hand from wood and steel in Grythyttan, making the chairs and tables extremely weather-resistant and ensure they last decade after decade. The characteristic rocking mechanism of the chairs is created by the special spring steel frame, also requires human craftsmanship. During 3daysofdesign, discover the new additions to the iconic A2 series, which has been an integral part of Swedish gardens since the 1930. The High Tech chair relaunched in 2007 has been given a new color spectrum for 2025. The chair was designed ny Nisse Strinning in the early 1980's.
