Ethimo is an Italian company founded in 2009 that specialised in high–end outdoor furnishings that express contemporary design in a balanced synthesis of form and function. Study of materials and shapes of elements speak of the tailoring of a knowhow consolidated over time and of all–Italian style. A fusion of art, nature, tradition, contemporaneity and design that finds its identity and balance in every project bringing alive an idea of outdoor living made up of harmony with nature and respect for the environment. For 60 years, Ingo Maurer has been designing and manufacturing exceptional designer lamps that bridge the gap between everyday objects and art. The Munich–based company's internationally renowned designs can be found in the collections of some of the world's most important museums, including the Museum of Modern Art in New York. Under the creative direction of Axel Schmid, Head of Product and Project Design, the team develops iconic luminaires that combine technical precision with a playful and often ironic design approach. Ingo Maurer's products are designed to surprise and inspire. As well as creating serial luminaires, the company has also made a name for itself as a designer of public and private spaces around the world.
