Founded in 2019, Material Matters is a platform dedicated to exploring the role of material intelligence in architecture and design. With more than 140 podcasts published and four acclaimed editions of its annual fair staged in London, the brand made its international debut in Copenhagen in 2025 as part of 3daysofdesign—an appearance that exceeded expectations and confirmed the appetite for a deeper, more material–led conversation. PANI JUREK is a design studio combined with a ceramics workshop, run by Magda Jurek and Michał Borecki.​ It operates at the intersection of design, craftsmanship, and art. The objects created by Studio Pani Jurek go beyond their stereotypical functions, with interactivity being an inherent feature. Conceived as elements of spatial compositions, they often change depending on their surroundings and users. A distinctive trait of the studio’s projects is colour—a result of Magda Jurek’s background in painting. While functionality is not the starting point in the creation process, it is never neglected. Ergonomics and design discipline help tame imagination and material.
