Founded in the late 1980s, Davide Groppi is an Italian lighting company recognised for the production of original and unique products distributed the world over, in which simplicity, weightlessness, emotion, creative invention and amazement are the fundamental ingredients. Making light is not just a technical gesture, it is getting closer to people on a more personal and intimate level. The lighting solutions Davide Groppi invents every day are his language to seduce and excite. Lamps are like the letters of an alphabet used to write anagrams, words and stories of light. Davide Groppi work obtained prestigious international awards and became part of the permanent collections of important design museums.

The studio explores new design possibilities through innovative production methods and by integrating the latest lighting technologies. In pursuit of the visually poetic, A–N–D is inspired by the unexpected and the everyday—compelled by light’s ability to shape and animate space.
