The Sound of Material will explore ideas centred on craftsmanship, techniques and processes. The group exhibition will be focusing on both traditional handwork and innovative practices, the works presented invite and encourage us to engage with them. With this, the exhibition asks us to think about the transformative qualities of the materials present, the intricacy or simplicity of the techniques on display, and to appreciate of the power of the objects present in our lives. Bringing together a dynamic group of designers and makers who work with ceramics, textiles, lighting, furniture, glasswork, paper and more, the exhibition will be curated by Natalia Sánchez.

Focusing on functional design and high quality materials, Gejst takes a normal product, looks at the need to be fulfilled, then strips it down to come up with something thrilling. Multifunctional and thought through to the smallest detail. Each design is a testament to this approach and it is a way of bringing Gejst into homes all around the world.
