Blå Station is a family business based in a former sewing factory in Åhus, on the south–east coast of Sweden, where the ocean is as restless as the brand itself. Their focus lies on the interiors that surround us—how they are built, how they function, and how people interact within public spaces. Questions about changing social behaviours and evolving demands continually inspire new ways of thinking. To meet contemporary needs and desires, Blå Station believes in maintaining an open and innovative mindset, guided by childlike curiosity and a firm rejection of shortcuts and apathy. This exhibition establishes a platform which convenes a selected group of international designers and makers working beyond mass production. Designers explore form, technique, and detail through processes informed by material properties and production methods. The exhibited objects are the result of in-depth material research, technical expertise, and time–intensive development.
