To celebrate 90 years of the Aalto vase, Iittala presents the Aalto 90 Pavilion at Ofelia Plads. Shaped after Alvar Aalto’s celebrated design, the pavilion invites visitors to step inside the form itself and experience an immersive soundscape created especially for the occasion. Within the pavilion, Iittala unveils its exclusive Aalto City Vases, presented as part of the spatial experience. Concrete vessels and reliefs by Susanne Storm merge artistic expression, material knowledge and functional purpose. Working with a material traditionally associated with weight, Storm challenges expectations by sculpting within a brief and intense creation window. This urgency is reflected in the works, whose forms appear almost alive, retaining the movement that shaped them. Cracks, layers and surface marks remain as traces of transformation. A restrained use of colour allows each piece to stand beautifully alone or in dialogue with others, particularly in contrast to modern, austere design. Suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.

Lokal is a Helsinki–based concept gallery bringing forth local artwork and collectible design. Inspired by a blend of artistic expression and craftsmanship, Lokal embraces sustainability and small–scale production. Lokal’s curated exhibitions can be viewed both at their homelike gallery space in Helsinki, as well as online. During 3daysofdesign, Lokal collaborates with The Finnish Cultural Institute in Denmark to present an exhibition featuring a group of Finnish artists and makers working at the intersection of fine art and functionality.
