PANI JUREK is a design studio combined with a ceramics workshop, run by Magda Jurek and Michał Borecki. It operates at the intersection of design, craftsmanship, and art. The objects created by Studio Pani Jurek go beyond their stereotypical functions, with interactivity being an inherent feature. Conceived as elements of spatial compositions, they often change depending on their surroundings and users. A distinctive trait of the studio’s projects is colour—a result of Magda Jurek’s background in painting. While functionality is not the starting point in the creation process, it is never neglected. Galleri Sonja is visiting from Bornholm. Once a saddle maker’s shop from the early 1800s, Galleri Sonja is now a place where craft, culture, and community meet in the gentle rhythm of slow living. The gallery is not only a space for experiencing art, it is also a space where knowledge of craft is shared and passed on. Through exhibitions and conversations, Galleri Sonja helps preserve and expand understanding of traditional and contemporary craft.
