Lærke Ryom, Kasper Kyster, and Frederik Gustav are innovative Danish designers who blur the lines between design and architecture. They blend intuitive experimentation with traditional craftsmanship, challenging materials and construction methods to create works that evoke a sense of curiosity. Ryom’s approach emphasizes tactile, detailed surfaces that invite sensory exploration, while Kyster focuses on the creative process reinterpreting craftsmanship creating his own craft. Frederik Gustav’s multidisciplinary projects navigate various scales and contexts, uniting these explorations into a fresh, bold vision for contemporary design.
Presented as a group exhibition during 3daysofdesign, the four aspiring Danish designers — Kasper Kyster, Lærke Ryom, and the duo Frederik Gustav — showcase their work in the setting of Baum und Pferdgarten. The exhibition weaves together themes from Baum’s new Unplugged collection. Spread across three installations throughout the showroom, each curated section contributes to a cohesive experience that celebrates the designers’ individual practices. Through meticulous, slow, and precise craftsmanship, each piece becomes a quiet reflection on the art of deceleration. Guests are invited to linger — to dive into the tactility and diversity of the works, as forms, structures and textures unfold and beckon a pause in the rush of the everyday.
