For this year’s 3daysofdesign, House of Finn Juhl collaborates with Edition Copenhagen, one of the leading lithographic workshops in the world. The collaboration is rooted in a workshop theme, based on a shared respect for traditional craftsmanship and the preservation of specialised skills. As the custodian of Finn Juhl’s legacy, House of Finn Juhl works to maintain and communicate the principles that defined his approach: a close relationship between design, making, and material understanding. Balancing artistic vision with functional form, the presentation reflects Finn Juhl’s continued relevance across generations.
House of Finn Juhl presents The Workshop, transforming Edition Copenhagen into a living production facility during 3daysofdesign. Within the installation, skilled craftspeople demonstrate hand–upholstery, wood finishing, and assembly, offering an intimate insight into the making of Finn Juhl’s iconic furniture. Rooted in the traditions of Danish cabinetmaking, the installation reflects a deep understanding of materials, precision, and enduring techniques. From solid wood joinery to meticulous upholstery, each stage reflects the care and expertise behind every piece.
