ALPI is a leading manufacturer of decorative surfaces made from reconstituted wood and was the first to industrialise this process. ALPIlignum veneer is made from real wood, created by deconstructing and reassembling a tree trunk. The result is a material that is not printed, but inherently designable, offering limitless aesthetic possibilities. ALPI represents an undisputed gold standard in wood technology. The ALPIlignum Collection is FSC® 100% certified (FSC—C004666), enabled by full control of the supply chain. A profound synergy with the design world has evolved through long–standing collaborations with leading designers, with Piero Lissoni serving as Art Director since 2015. ALPI products are distributed in more than 60 countries.
ALPI will present a site-specific installation designed by GamFratesi titled "Echoes of Form: classical shape, contemporary language" in the rooms of the prestigious Thorvaldsen's Museum. The project is rooted in a cultural and visual dialogue with Bertel Thorvaldsen's neoclassical sculptures on permanent display at the museum. Using ALPI wood surfaces created by international talents – nendo, Konstantin Grcic, Piero Lissoni, Estúdio Campana and more – GamFratesi has designed 14 sculptures that represent an ode to material and sculptural craft, a balanced equilibrium between classicality and contemporaneity.
