Uppercut is an Antwerp based gallery with a focus on art furniture and design, presenting contemporary art and design. Founded and directed by Scott Lippens, the gallery’s programming is rooted in a good understanding of design history and exhibits functional art of the highest caliber. The gallery is committed to support emerging and leading international artists and designers who, through their craft, introduce fresh ideas to visual culture and challenge the status quo.

On the occasion of 3daysofdesign, Johan Borups Højskole opens the doors to its historic mansion in Copenhagen’s Cultural District, inviting visitors to explore the graduation showcase by emerging Nordic voices. This semester’s final exhibitions feature a project from Design & Ceramics—an artistic education where tradition meets contemporary culture in an open, exploratory atmosphere. Set within the school’s historic courtyard and interiors, the showcase highlight the culmination of a semester shaped by dialogue, curiosity, and craftsmanship. Founded in 1891, Johan Borups' is a Danish ‘højskole’—a creative community based on growth, collab and reflection.

Furniture ought to make room for people. That has been the philosophy since 1942, when FDB Møbler was founded, with architect Børge Mogensen heading up the studio. Many new designers have since entered the fold, but the foundational principles remain the same: To create beautiful, functional and exceptionally crafted furniture that makes room for everyday living at home. FDB Møbler is internationally known as a frontrunner of Danish design. It’s a story of classic pieces to be passed down from generation to generation. Regardless of whether they are talking about iconic pieces or new, innovative designs, the goal is the same: To have the veritable quality of life that was envisioned when the first pieces of furniture emerged in 1942.

Gudbrandsdalens Uldvarefabrik (GU) is a Norwegian textile manufacturer based in Lillehammer, known for its craftsmanship, material expertise, and timeless design. Rooted in Norwegian nature and tradition, GU develops upholstery textiles that combine aesthetics, durability, and sustainability. All production takes place locally, with every stage—from spinning to weaving and finishing—carried out under one roof. This ensures full control over quality, traceability, and responsible production. With a deep understanding of wool’s natural properties, GU refines and reinterprets the material to meet the needs of contemporary interiors.

MANO design studio is a Seoul-based studio founded in 2016 by Bo Ah Kim. With a background in interior design in Korea and further studies in Product Design in Milan, Kim develops work at the intersection of traditional Korean craft and contemporary design. Her practice focuses on lighting and objects made from Hanji traditional Korean paper hand-pressed from mulberry bark. Each piece is made by hand: cutting, folding, and stitching to draw out the quiet dialogue between light and material. At the heart of her work is the act of stitching itself. Each stitch is not decorative, but a record of time, attention, and the steady rhythm of the hand. The work holds what cannot be seen: the duration and care inscribed into every mark.
