This year, 3daysofdesign are reactivating The Junction in District Refshaleøen. Created in collaboration with Spacon & X, the long-table installation serves as a unifying centrepiece and collaborative canvas. Events at The Junction bring together industry experts, designers and design enthusiasts to connect, engage in thoughtful dialogue, and to share a unique experience.

The Junction is a modular, zero-waste table assembled from repurposed materials borrowed from local suppliers, reflecting District Refshaleøen’s collaborative spirit and commitment to circular design - Materials for the lightweight, aluminium base are borrowed from Barlby Carlsson, the clay bricks that form the surface of the table are loaned from Peterson Tegl, and &Tradition have provided their stackable Pavilion AV1 chairs for the installation. Events at The Junction will focus on material innovation, sustainability and inspiring change to create a better future for people and the planet.

SMALLrevolution is a Copenhagen–based design and manufacturing studio working exclusively with recycled plastic. The studio develops controlled material streams from defined industrial waste, transforming them into specification–ready materials and objects for architecture and interiors. By combining sourcing, processing, and design, each output carries a clear material origin and consistent performance. The work challenges the perception of plastic as disposable, repositioning it as a material with structural value and long–term relevance within contemporary design.

There is something really nice about getting up close—to the furniture, the makers, the production process. A. Petersen creates furniture with a focus on quality, craftsmanship and respect for professional expertise. Theor products are designed, developed and produced in Denmark. Furniture from A. Petersen is crafted with the intention to renew the Danish design tradition and carry it into the 21st century. Not in a grand or rapid way—for the sake of scale or tempo—but in a measured, serious way, for the sake of current time as well as posterity, because furniture should last a lifetime, and hopefully even longer. A good piece of furniture only becomes more beautiful through time and use, as lived life leaves its mark on the materials.

Lammhults convinces design as a great potential to improve everyday lives and to contribute to more meaningful and sustainable ways of living. The optimistic spirit is a defining characteristic of Lammhults – a vital part of their heritage since 1945. Lammhults develops contemporary design for various kinds of spaces – public spaces, modern offices, and domestic spaces. Inhabited spaces have a strong influence on oneself. Some spaces make you creative, social, and generous, others enable you to slow down and to reflect. Lammhults believes in the importance of that space. Good design contributes to shape dwellings and surroundings in ways that are relevant both today and tomorrow.
