SAIKAIHOP, by Saikai Europe, traces its origins to the Japanese town of Hasami, where the history of porcelain production and innovation spans more than 400 years. 2050 Furniture is a gentle rebellion for nature, people, and the future. Today’s conventional furniture industry is resource–intensive and highly centralised. Valuable local resources—such as wood waste—remain underutilised, while many people are excluded from the workforce. 2050 Furniture is created to question and even change this system. This new furniture production transforms local wood waste into high–end furniture through cooperative, local production that fosters inclusive and meaningful employment. 2050 Furniture scales through new furniture series developed in new communities, expanding a local, circular, and regenerative model of production. 2050 Furniture is Doughnut economics in practice.

Seino Takashi Design is a design company founded in Chiba, Japan, in 2020 by Takashi Seino. Guided by the theme of universality, the studio works across interior and product design, carefully considering the relationship between people, objects and spaces while valuing materials. Its designs emerge through dialogue, embracing clients, users, materials and nature. The philosophy is inspired by the Japanese concept Sampō Yoshi—“good for the seller, good for the buyer, and good for society.” This principle guides the studio beyond profit, encouraging meaningful contributions to society and fostering long–term relationships built on trust.

Vibeke Fonnesberg Schmidt creates exclusive bespoke lighting pieces. Working with plexiglass and brass, she develops lamps shaped by a close dialogue between colour, transparency, and form. Layered hues and shifting light create depth and visual presence, while patinated brass adds a warmer, tactile tone. Each lamp is a sculptural object that brings a composed architectural presence to a space. She also creates larger installations by grouping multiple lamps. Vibeke Fonnesberg Schmidt collaborates with Nilufar Gallery in Milan and designs for Gubi.
