Modern Metier

Founded in 2022, Modern Metier is a French design platform with a curated selection of contemporary brands and progressive designers. Working with talents from Paris to Stockholm, the platform represents a select roster of European designers, each distinguished by a singular perspective and original point of view. In 2024, Modern Metier introduced its first collection of furniture and lighting in collaboration with French designer Léa Zeroil. The name “métier,” drawn from the French word for craft, reflects the studio’s commitment to quality and enduring craftsmanship. Each piece is developed in close dialogue with the designer and local artisans specialising in woodwork, upholstery, glassblowing, and metalwork.
