Founded in 1919, Midgard Licht collection spans across unique lamps, ranging from iconic midcentury classics to radical modern drafts – meeting all requirements of design, quality and sustainability. As the inventor of adjustable lighting, Midgard aims to bring the inventiveness and bauhaus spirit into the now, striving for a balance between functionality and emotional quality of their drafts. Always touching the very heart of Midgard's philosophy - making light adjustable. Focusing on the relevance of sustainability through design, they are taking up the responsibility as a manufacturer to think in new and responsible ways about product design. Midgard produces its collection, still today, with original tools in Germany.

Midgard will be showing 'AYNO' by industrial designer Stefan Diez. The AYNO lighting family is testing the boundaries between origin and status quo of adjustable lighting. Minimalist, adjustable and versatile, AYNO is a modern take on classic Bauhaus design. On the occasion of 3daysofdesign Midgard will also be introducing another and new draft and part of a new typology of lamps. The new lamp can be experienced in an collaborative installation with NOMAD carpets at the ground floor in THE HOUSE OF DESIGN, where you can experience parts of the collection, as well as joining a workshop on sustainable product design - discussing the responsibility of manufacturers and designers - with one of the owners of Midgard Licht.
