Lysbilleder.com is a Copenhagen-based light-craft collaborative that creates installations exploring the materiality of light. These installations provide both functional and atmospheric lighting, but they essentially serve as an instrument for capturing light-particles, shivering in weightless motifs inspired by nature. The manufacturing combines traditional craft and robotic prototyping, blending phenomenology and technology, in unique light pieces made from recycled acrylic glass. Behind Lysbilleder stands renowned textile and light artist Dorte Østergaard Jakobsen and explorative architect Jacob Hilmer, in a collaboration that brings artistic exploration and prototyping processes together, resulting in unique visual and sensual works.
Lysbilleder.com is honored to present the exhibition, SPOR, at Officinet during 3 Days of Design, located at the heart of the festival next to Designmuseum Danmark. The theme of SPOR, meaning "traces", explores the notion as a grammar in an art and design language that serves as device to capture the complexity, meaning and beauty of nature, while also contemplating human imprints. The works on display celebrate the resonance of these traces, represented by collaborate works in acrylic glass, individual works in Silk by textile and light artist Dorte Østergaard Jakobsen, and metal reliefs by explorative architect Jacob Hilmer.
