Founded in 1874, the Danish lighting manufacturer Louis Poulsen creates products that encompass the duality of design and light. Every detail in the design has a purpose. Every design starts and ends with light. Louis Poulsen offers a range of lighting aimed at the commercial and domestic lighting markets, with illumination and solutions for both indoor and outdoor applications. In close partnership with designers, architects and other talents like Poul Henningsen, Arne Jacobsen, Verner Panton, Øivind Slaatto, Alfred Homann, Louise Campbell and Oki Sato, Louis Poulsen has established itself as a leading global architectural and decorative lighting brand.

For this year’s 3daysofdesign, Louis Poulsen takes its visitors on an explorative journey into the intricate universe of Poul Henningsen and his iconic System PH lighting design and philosophy. With his unique mathematical approach to light as investigative starting point, the brand reflects on lighting as a physical matter, a material that can be shaped to define spaces and alter perceptions. Accompanied by installations, talks, pop–ups, and product news at the Louis Poulsen official store, “PH—an exploration” bridges past and present, making the heritage forever relevant. At 3daysofdesign, the studio presents the Sun Ray Chair—an asymmetrical work of art designed by architect Desiré Apelgren, founder of the studio. The chair reinterprets a classic form in a fresh, bold yet timeless way, challenging conventions while reflecting the studio’s focus on the relationship between furniture, space, and human interaction.

It all started more than 125 years ago, with two families—the Miele and Zinkann families. The engineer Carl Miele and the businessman Reinhard Zinkann founded a company for the manufacture of cream separators in Herzebrock. Their guiding principle becomes the business philosophy: Immer besser. Miele appliances, whether they are used for laundry care, vacuuming or in the kitchen, are subjected to the strictest stress and endurance tests before they are launched on the market. Miele design represents innovation, value and timeless elegance. It shapes the relationship between the person and the product, meets expectations, facilitates handling and creates trust.

Cyprus Handicraft was established in 1975 to record and preserve various traditional sectors and techniques of Cypriot handicrafts with a view to promoting the economic development of each sector. Since then, its role has expanded to include design innovation programs that promote research, participation in international trade fairs, and the production of exhibitions highlighting the work of Cyprus master craftsmen, artists and designers. They believe in the dynamic nature of the Cypriot cultural identity and encourage a blend of traditional and contemporary craftsmanship in order for artists' work to be internationally appealing.
