Gancedo is a textile editor and manufacturer, founded in Barcelona in 1945 and interwoven with the designer community ever since. With a legacy of over 75 years, the Gancedo family has been dedicated to fabrics and interior design for an entire life. Recently revamped through a comprehensive rebranding and a new flagship store in Madrid by architect Teresa Sapey, the company has also undergone critical technological upgrades along with improvements in efficiency and logistics. Furthermore, a strong commitment to sustainability and transparency is at the center of the company mission. The sum of expertise, acknowledgement and textile innovation has turned the brand Gancedo into a guiding star for designers facing any textile challenges.

Fogia’s mission as a furniture maker is to turn exceptional ideas into well–crafted pieces. At its centre is the factory, where wood, textiles and skilled hands come together, giving designers and craftspeople the time to explore how sketches become lasting objects. The aim is to create furniture that people grow attached to over time. This comes from balancing function with friction—the detail, tension or gesture that gives character. One without the other is incomplete. Working closely with designers who question conventions with finesse, Fogia shapes furniture that feels considered. Iteration Collective is a newly established design collective of young designers. The community has emerged from a shared desire to create and challenge each other, pushing creative boundaries to enhance their skills as designers. Through close collaboration, members tackle new design challenges, each producing original works based on a shared design brief with defined constraints and objectives. Recognising the importance of responsible design practices, the group is dedicated to exploring new approaches, challenging conventional norms in furniture design, and paving the way for more eco-conscious solutions. Iteration Collective hope to inspire future generations of designers and contribute to the dialogue surrounding design and sustainability.

Founded in Hong Kong in 2019, CHICHOIMAO is a woodworking studio co–founded by one human and two cats. Its name, 自在貓，Cantonese for a “cat at ease,” reflects a philosophy of in the moment. Although the Year of Singularity nears, the studio still believes human touch and emotional memories still count, preserved through analogue creations rather than digital ones. Every work is handcrafted with joinery techniques to honour minimalist forms and the tactile warmth of timber. These pieces bring harmony to modern homes, helping people slow down and find beauty in the lasting, soulful moments of the everyday.

For more than 55 years, FRANDSEN has worked with light and lighting, and this is still a cornerstone in the heritage. Under the headline ‘In celebration of light’ FRANDSEN's goal is simple: unfold the many functions of good lighting—be it visual, social or sensual, to enrich people’s everyday lives. Through ambitious collaborations with international designers, FRANDSEN aims to further explore the interplay between light, material, and form. A lamp might still be a lamp, but FRANDSEN will perpetually push the boundaries of what’s possible, creating lighting solutions both functional and yet aesthetically pleasing.

Throughout history, tools have been crucial to humanity’s ability to survive and innovate, from primitive stone tools to advanced machinery, tools have been key to shaping the world. VÆRKTØJ is an exhibition format that aims to communicate and demonstrate how the identities of designers are largely shaped by the tools they use; as tools not only drive the development of ideas and creative processes but also leave a distinct mark on the final product.
