Estonia’s national story is simple: succeeding at change is our superpower; in design, that means future ready solutions with a gentle, human pace, delivered with a friendly, down to earth voice and clean, simple form. Silen, Slept, SEOS, House of Pärnamets, Maarit Pöör, Jalg, Aeris, RaSun, EMBAKUMBA—gathered at the Embassy of Estonia to show how a small, digitally fluent nation turns calm into a competitive edge—spaces and objects that make room to think, feel, and slow down. Together, they translate Estonia’s brand into lived experience: authentic materials, generous space, and technology that disappears into the background—design that invites you to slow down, breathe, and notice what matters in this moment.
SLOWING unfolds as a quiet counterpoint to acceleration—a space shaped by our collective longing to slow down. Rooted in Estonia’s nature and traditions, the showcase reveals a culture where time is not chased but inhabited. The exhibition invites visitors to experience slowness not as absence, but as presence. To feel how reduced tempo sharpens the senses. How craftsmanship becomes a form of listening—to nature, to tradition, to time itself. As you move through the embassy, you enter a landscape of quiet precision and human scale. Here, the design is not loud. It does not rush to impress. Instead, it offers space: for touch, for reflection, for connection. Come and explore what it feels like to slow down.
