Designercarpets Drechsle stands for high-quality, handmade carpets. Working closely with international creatives, the family-run company produces modern carpets for public buildings and the private sector with great passion and precision craftsmanship. The main production site is Nepal's capital Kathmandu. Here, the carpets are manufactured to the highest quality and using traditional Tibetan production techniques. Transparent manufacturing processes have been an integral part of the company's DNA from the very beginning. Designercarpets Drechsle holds the official license for timeless carpet designs by renowned designers, including Verner Panton, the Bauhaus student Gertrud Arndt or the Swiss textile designer Sonnhild Kestler.

During 3daysofdesign Designercarpets Drechsle will show the just launched designs from the Swiss designer Sonnhild Kestler - two joyful carpets Bela & Elis. Moreover one of the most famous designs from Verner Panton will be presented in his home country. Cumellas designs and produces contemporary handmade rugs. Based in Barcelona since 1992, its work reflects a deep understanding of craftsmanship and a distinctive approach to design. Furniture ought to make room for people. That has been the philosophy since 1942, when FDB Møbler was founded, with architect Børge Mogensen heading up the studio. Many new designers have since entered the fold, but the foundational principles remain the same: To create beautiful, functional and exceptionally crafted furniture that makes room for everyday living at home. FDB Møbler is internationally known as a frontrunner of Danish design. It’s a story of classic pieces to be passed down from generation to generation. Regardless of whether they are talking about iconic pieces or new, innovative designs, the goal is the same: To have the veritable quality of life that was envisioned when the first pieces of furniture emerged in 1942.

Kaikale is an India-based furniture brand rooted in local craftsmanship and people-driven making. In collaboration with the Scandinavian architect Alexander Mihel, the work brings together traditional Indian carpentry and Scandinavian design principles. Kaikale x Alexander Mihel presents a furniture collection developed over 2,5 years through a hands-on collaborative process. The collection is made using carpentry-based methods, working with established hardwoods and also experimenting with non-forest timber such as coconut timber. In India, the coconut tree has traditionally been fully utilised, with every part used. The furniture continues this approach by giving coconut wood a long life as durable, long-lasting pieces.
