Danish Art Workshops contributes to the field of art and design in Denmark by providing professionals with a unique platform for artistic development and production. In the many specially equipped workshops, professional artists and designers can apply for residency to develop their ideas and produce large and complex works with support and counselling from skilled professionals. Here lie the roots of large amounts of contemporary art and design; here new talents in the art and design scene are born. Curation and exhibition design by Margrethe Odgaard and Rasmus Bækkel.

Selected Projects is an exhibition platform in the largest production residency of Denmark. For 3daysofdesign, the old warehouse transforms into a showroom for projects, developed in the workshops. The displayed projects range widely in expression, materials, and artisanship. All are of the highest artistic quality, carefully selected for their originality, materiality, and sustainability. The exhibition design by Margrethe Odgaard and Rasmus Bækkel is based on hematite, a natural mineral that has been used as a red colour since the earliest cave paintings. From the simple cave paintings to today's artistic practices, the reddish–brown mineral bears witness to our eternal urge to leave traces, create coherence, and give shape to the world.
