Kvik’s originality comes from redefining how people live in their kitchens. For this year’s 3daysofdesign, House of Finn Juhl collaborates with Edition Copenhagen, one of the leading lithographic workshops in the world. The collaboration is rooted in a workshop theme, based on a shared respect for traditional craftsmanship and the preservation of specialised skills. As the custodian of Finn Juhl’s legacy, House of Finn Juhl works to maintain and communicate the principles that defined his approach: a close relationship between design, making, and material understanding. Balancing artistic vision with functional form, the presentation reflects Finn Juhl’s continued relevance across generations.

Ishinomaki Laboratory is a furniture brand founded in Ishinomaki City, Miyagi Prefecture after the Great East Japan Earthquake in 2011. It began as a local initiative supporting recovery through DIY projects, restoring community spaces and collaborative efforts to reimagine the city. Early work included building outdoor benches with local high school students and workshops through Herman Miller’s disaster–relief program. In 2014, it became a company, expanding through collaborations with Japanese and international designers and distributing products globally. In 2024, it partnered with Karimoku Furniture to develop two series: Maker Pack and The Originals, made in Ishinomaki. Today, it serves as a hub for the global “Made in Local” network.

Örsjö is founded on simple values and strong convictions, dedicated to developing and handcrafting premium lighting in its local factory with the sincere ambition of leaving the best possible mark on the planet. Handcrafted objects carry an intangible sense of human touch and warmth—a connection between creator and user that is often lost in industrial production. For this reason, craftsmanship lies at the heart of Örsjö’s work, with local artisans involved across the entire product range. Welding, soldering, bending, polishing, painting, assembling, glass blowing, and leather carving all take place either in Örsjö’s own factory or in trusted workshops within the region. Ultimately, Örsjö strives to create products designed to outlast their makers and contribute positively to the world.

HUBBUB develops 100% natural acoustic materials for architecture, replacing synthetic layers in acoustic systems. Made from jute fibres and natural latex, without added plastics, the material combines documented performance with long lifespan and architectural integrity. ESSENCE surfaces remain open and breathable, preserving acoustic performance while adding tactile depth. Natural elements are pressed into the surface, becoming part of its texture rather than applied decoration. Designed in Denmark, the material stores carbon and is developed for long-term use.

TAMEKO is a Copenhagen–based textile brand rooted in a deep appreciation for honest materials, quiet luxury, and Scandinavian sensibilities. Founded by Dominika Leveau and Chim Scavenius Sonne–Schmidt, the brand was created with a singular aim: to craft textiles that elevate everyday life through tactility, simplicity, and longevity. Guided by both past traditions—when linens were treasured heirlooms—and contemporary aesthetics, TAMEKO designs pieces meant not only to last, but to live with. Each product reflects a commitment to natural materials, thoughtful craftsmanship, and a timeless palette that integrates effortlessly into private homes and hospitality spaces.
