New Light Pottery is a lighting manufacturer based in the ancient former Japanese capital of Nara. Founded in 2015 by designers Hiroyuki Nagatomi and Chizu Nara, the company creates understated designs that highlight the textures and natural beauty of brass, glass, ceramic and traditional Japanese washi paper. Each lamp is handcrafted in Japan by skilled artisans. Supporting Japanese craftsmanship and the artisans who keep these traditions alive has been central to New Light Pottery’s mission from the very beginning. Keeping production in Japan also allows for minor adjustments, special orders and unique finishes.

Rooted in a biophilic philosophy, the products enhance soundscapes while supporting calm, human–centered interiors. Founded by architect Annemieke Koopmans, Flokk & Fjell positions acoustics as an integral part of interior design. All production takes place in Norway, ensuring quality, transparency, and a low–impact process aligned with the demand for sustainable, design–led materials.
