From the beginning, the goal of the company has been to challenge traditional approaches to design to make a collection full of bold and playful products. Each bringing an instant attraction and passion that’s hard to explain but easy to feel. Focusing on functional design and high quality materials, Gejst takes a normal product, looks at the need to be fulfilled, then strips it down to come up with something thrilling. Swedese is a classic Swedish furniture producer with a strong anchor in both the public and domestic domain. Swedese's ideals are the same today as they have been for the past seventy years: to create beautiful furniture for the future, building on the foundations of Scandinavian modern traditions and designed by forward-looking designers who share the timeless ideals of architecture. Swedese was founded in 1945 by brothers Yngve and Jerker Ekström together with Bertil Sjöqvist under the name ESE Möbler. The headquarters are located in Vaggeryd in Småland, Sweden, where one of the factories is based, while the second factory is located in Äng, a small village outside Nässjö.
