Graduate designer Anke Neumann makes handmade paper glow in an unusual way. In her workshop, she makes large–format papers, incorporating light–conducting fibres. Similar to veins, these run through the paper surface and also form a kind of framework that contributes to the stability of the form. LED light is guided through the fibres and emitted laterally outwards in the paper layer. Together with the material aesthetics and design language, the light papers combine sculpture, luminaire and unique piece. They are not just objects that attract a lot of attention due to their shape. They are capable of enchanting a room, bathing it in poetic light.

Organised by the International Trade Centre (ITC) and founded by the European Union (EU), this exhibition is centred around traditional skills and culture from the Southern African country. The Handcraft company Siyaphambili have collaborated with designers Delphine Meriaux, and Agathe Pautrot to bring new interior design objects to Europe. Nada Duele is a sustainable design studio based in Guatemala, dedicated to the creation of design objects and accessories that blend traditional craftsmanship with a contemporary vision. Founded in 2019, the studio collaborates with master artisans across Guatemala to craft unique, responsible, and timeless pieces, ensuring the preservation of traditional crafts while supporting job creation. Each creation tells a story of heritage and sustainability. Through recycled blown glassware, lambswool pieces, stone artefacts, and iron accents, Nada Duele celebrates Guatemala’s beauty and traditions while promoting an environmentally conscious lifestyle. The studio is led by multidisciplinary artists Giselle MacDonald and Mariano Orellana.
