DCW éditions creates lighting objects that are thoughtfully conceived, well designed and well made. Ishinomaki Laboratory is a furniture brand founded in Ishinomaki City, Miyagi Prefecture after the Great East Japan Earthquake in 2011. It began as a local initiative supporting recovery through DIY projects, restoring community spaces and collaborative efforts to reimagine the city. Early work included building outdoor benches with local high school students and workshops through Herman Miller’s disaster–relief program. In 2014, it became a company, expanding through collaborations with Japanese and international designers and distributing products globally. In 2024, it partnered with Karimoku Furniture to develop two series: Maker Pack and The Originals, made in Ishinomaki. Today, it serves as a hub for the global “Made in Local” network.

Seino Takashi Design is a design company founded in Chiba, Japan, in 2020 by Takashi Seino. Guided by the theme of universality, the studio works across interior and product design, carefully considering the relationship between people, objects and spaces while valuing materials. Its designs emerge through dialogue, embracing clients, users, materials and nature. The philosophy is inspired by the Japanese concept Sampō Yoshi—“good for the seller, good for the buyer, and good for society.” This principle guides the studio beyond profit, encouraging meaningful contributions to society and fostering long–term relationships built on trust.

Vintola Studio, founded in Warsaw in 2018 by designer Ola Szewczul, is a Polish design brand focused on collectible furniture and contemporary functional design that merge vintage sensitivity with refined craftsmanship. The studio creates original furniture collections designed by Szewczul alongside carefully curated and restored vintage pieces, combining sculptural form, tactile materials and balanced proportions with everyday usability. Alongside collectible objects, Vintola Studio develops premium furniture for hospitality interiors, with pieces designed for luxury hotels, refined residential spaces and fine dining restaurants.

HUBBUB develops 100% natural acoustic materials for architecture, replacing synthetic layers in acoustic systems. Made from jute fibres and natural latex, without added plastics, the material combines documented performance with long lifespan and architectural integrity. ESSENCE surfaces remain open and breathable, preserving acoustic performance while adding tactile depth. Natural elements are pressed into the surface, becoming part of its texture rather than applied decoration. Designed in Denmark, the material stores carbon and is developed for long-term use.

Lokal is a Helsinki–based concept gallery bringing forth local artwork and collectible design. Inspired by a blend of artistic expression and craftsmanship, Lokal embraces sustainability and small–scale production. Fostering a supportive creative community rooted in heritage and a close relationship to nature is at the core of their activity. Lokal’s curated exhibitions can be viewed both at their homelike gallery space in Helsinki, as well as online. During 3daysofdesign, Lokal collaborates with The Finnish Cultural Institute in Denmark to present an exhibition featuring a group of Finnish artists and makers working at the intersection of fine art and functionality.
