During 3daysofdesign, Auping will present a newly updated version of the Essential bed. Inspired by Japanese aesthetics, the bed reflects a calm, minimal expression where balance, simplicity and functionality are at the core. With its clean lines, refined proportions and thoughtful material choices, the Essential bed brings a sense of tranquility to the bedroom. Located in the heart of central Copenhagen, Designmuseum Danmark is Denmark’s leading museum of Danish and international design. The museum shows up to eight exhibitions about design history, contemporary design, the design of the future, as well as Danish design icons by Verner Panton, Finn Juhl, Arne Jacobsen and more. The museum communicates quality and craftsmanship, ideas and processes, and breakthrough within design through it’s exhibitions, events, and learning activities. Designmuseum Danmark reopened in June 2022 after two years of renovations. Guests can now visit the new museum café for coffee, lunch or dinner, the new museum shop and the museum garden, which is a quiet, green oasis in the middle of the city.

New Light Pottery is a lighting manufacturer based in the ancient former Japanese capital of Nara. Founded in 2015 by designers Hiroyuki Nagatomi and Chizu Nara, the company creates understated designs that highlight the textures and natural beauty of brass, glass, ceramic and traditional Japanese washi paper. Each lamp is handcrafted in Japan by skilled artisans. Supporting Japanese craftsmanship and the artisans who keep these traditions alive has been central to New Light Pottery’s mission from the very beginning. Keeping production in Japan also allows for minor adjustments, special orders and unique finishes.
