ykoon is a design label by Steven Gosseye built on conscious choice, valued not only for its design, but for the story, craftsmanship and integrity behind each piece. Each object seeks simplicity in form while remaining engaging through detail and proportion. Grounded in a strong technical foundation, every design is carefully refined down to its construction and finishing. The story of each object begins with an idea and evolves through sketches and prototypes into a well–considered result. Working exclusively with solid hardwoods, ykoon employs traditional joinery techniques, reflecting a deep respect for craftsmanship. Jeroen De Ruddere is a Belgian designer creating sculptural lighting objects rooted in material, proportion and emotional presence.
