THE SWISS ATELIER

THE SWISS ATELIER is Switzerland’s official presence at 3daysofdesign, celebrating the country’s innovative and refined approach to design. It takes place in two prime locations in the heart of the festival: THE EMBASSY ATELIER at the Embassy of Switzerland, Store Kongensgade 128, and THE SWISS COFFEE ATELIER at Original Coffee, Store Kongensgade 124, each offering a distinct experience that highlights Swiss creativity, craftsmanship and design excellence. Free registration is required to visit THE SWISS ATELIER. The link is available the Embassy of Switzerland's Instagram and Facebook bio. Additionally, a QR code will be available at the entrance.

THE SWISS ATELIER explores how materials are composed as well as how they gain a second life through design. At the main entrance, the Swiss brand FREITAG presents WASTE IS OUR RESOURCE, a sensory installation showing the durability of upcycled truck tarps shaped by weather, movement and time. Visitors then enter the Embassy of Switzerland to explore SEEKING SAILS, curated by Hannes & Fritz with twelve designers from Denmark and Switzerland, proposing new uses for discarded sailcloth. Finally, GALERIE GEBERIT, curated by Hannes & Fritz with Geberit, completes the experience with a focus on water, design and innovation, where atmosphere and interaction translate technical excellence into a sensory social space.

The story of sog begins in the world of bespoke furniture in Japan, where its creators listened to countless stories—the single line drawn by an architect, the quiet wish of a user. To answer each one, the brand's artisans sculpted wood, tailored fabrics, and bent metal. The myriad forms born and then vanished in this process became what they call the “memories of design.” From this vast accumulation of memories and experience, “sog” was born: a brand that carves out the "So” (素)—the elemental form destined to become the standard of the future.

Artisan is internationally recognised for its refined approach to furniture design and exceptional craftsmanship. Handcrafted from seven species of solid wood, each piece is produced in Bosnia and Herzegovina within a technologically advanced manufacturing facility surrounded by dense forest—a space that evolved from a traditional woodworking workshop with more than 60 years of history. Spanning seating, tables, sideboards, beds, and lighting, Artisan’s collections are defined by a deep respect for material, form, and the handmade process. ANDREA TSANG is a Stockholm–based design studio creating objects defined by sculptural restraint, tactile presence, and quiet atmosphere. Rooted in ceramics handcrafted in the studio’s Stockholm workshop, the practice explores how objects occupy space and participate in everyday rituals. Each piece is designed to bring balance, rhythm, and material presence to the home. Founded by Andrea Tsang after a decade in fashion design, the studio reflects her journey between Hong Kong, Shanghai, and Stockholm—combining sensitivity to material, refined craftsmanship, and a disciplined design language. In 2024, the brand opened its first showroom in central Stockholm, an intimate environment where objects and atmosphere can be experienced together.

Nymphenburg is one of the last and purest manufactories of its kind. Since its founding in 1747, the high art of porcelain production has been cultivated at the manufactory of the Bavarian royal family. Manufactum still means the same today: made entirely by hand, using techniques that have been passed down and preserved from generation to generation.

Nosou is a contemporary Japanese design brand rooted in natural materials and traditional craftsmanship. Guided by the theme 'Time Makes Beauty,' they embrace natural aging in their products, as a form of beauty that deepens over time. Their first collection features lighting crafted from bamboo sourced in Kyoto. Inspired by Wabi–Sabi, each handcrafted piece develops its own character through years of use, becoming a unique object to be cherished. Light is adjusted by moving the fixture itself, offering a tactile and intuitive experience.

Rather than viewing furniture as a finished object, RARERAW understands it as a structural unit that shapes space. Each module functions as part of a larger framework that evolves through use, interaction, and context. Designed to respond to changing environments and lifestyles, the system encourages openness rather than prescription. As spaces change, RARERAW adapts—inviting users to reconfigure, reinterpret, and gradually complete the system over time.
