THE SWISS ATELIER

THE SWISS ATELIER is Switzerland’s official presence at 3daysofdesign, celebrating the country’s innovative and refined approach to design. It takes place in two prime locations in the heart of the festival: THE EMBASSY ATELIER at the Embassy of Switzerland, Store Kongensgade 128, and THE SWISS COFFEE ATELIER at Original Coffee, Store Kongensgade 124, each offering a distinct experience that highlights Swiss creativity, craftsmanship and design excellence.

THE SWISS ATELIER explores how materials are composed as well as how they gain a second life through design. At the main entrance, the Swiss brand FREITAG presents WASTE IS OUR RESOURCE, a sensory installation showing the durability of upcycled truck tarps shaped by weather, movement and time. Visitors then enter the Embassy of Switzerland to explore SEEKING SAILS, curated by Hannes & Fritz with twelve designers from Denmark and Switzerland, proposing new uses for discarded sailcloth. Finally, GALERIE GEBERIT, curated by Hannes & Fritz with Geberit, completes the experience with a focus on water, design and innovation, where atmosphere and interaction translate technical excellence into a sensory social space.

Rooted in the wood-turning tradition of Vall del Ges, near Barcelona, the brand enhances interiors worldwide with architectural hardware. Inspired by its origins in wood craftsmanship and the beech forests surrounding its hometown, the brand continues to explore materials, textures and finishes that bring warmth and authenticity to contemporary interiors. String Furniture is a Swedish design company producing a range of modern classics and contemporary furniture brands. More than 95% of its furniture is made in Sweden, using renewable, recyclable or recycled materials. String has earned a place in design history thanks to the elegant simplicity and ingenious construction of its systems, which can be assembled in countless configurations and remain as relevant today as when first introduced in 1949. The collection includes Pira G2, originally conceived by Olle Pira in 1954 and reinterpreted in 2023 by Anna von Schewen and Björn Dahlström, as well as Museum, designed for the reopening of the Swedish Nationalmuseum, and Relief, a modular system created by TAF Studio.

VERPAN—for Verner Panton—is a design company working closely with Verner Panton Design AG to preserve, reissue, and recontextualise the Danish architect and designer’s radiant body of work, ranging from intimate objects to immersive environments. Verner Panton’s lighting and furniture are a testament to his playful and unconventional spirit, encompassing both his most celebrated designs and recently rediscovered pieces.

Since its foundation in 1911, the family–owned company Fredericia has proudly built a strong tradition of beautiful craftsmanship and innovative design, developed in close collaboration with a circle of internationally recognised names. Legendary designers such as Børge Mogensen, Hans J. Wegner, Mogens Koch and Nanna Ditzel, as well as contemporary figures like Barber Osgerby, Jasper Morrison, Cecilie Manz, and Maria Bruun, all play a role in shaping Fredericia into the design and craftsmanship institution it is today.
