Furniture ought to make room for people. This has been the philosophy of FDB Møbler since its founding in 1942, when architect Børge Mogensen led the design studio. Since 1935, Anglepoise has been a pioneer in lighting design, known for crafting innovative, spring–balanced lamps that combine form with flawless function. The design was invented by British engineer George Carwardine, and the brand began with the invention of a task lamp that moved like the human arm—a breakthrough that forever changed how people interact with light. Headquartered in Denmead, UK, Anglepoise lamps have lit the desks of designers, the walls of museums, and the homes of creative thinkers around the world.

A–POC, the acronym of 'A Piece Of Cloth', is the name of the integrated design and manufacturing system first introduced in Paris by Issey Miyake in 1998. A–POC revolutionised the process of clothes–making with its innovative concept of a streamlined, all–in–one operation, in which all the parts of the clothing are pre–woven into a single piece of cloth. Launched in 2021, A–POC ABLE ISSEY MIYAKE aims to realise the infinite potential of the A–POC system with society in mind—hence the name 'ABLE'. The brand’s designer Yoshiyuki Miyamae and his team of engineers value the dialogue between creator and wearer, as they engage with different professions and industries to further explore new possibilities in design and making.
