Bretz combines two essentially contrary, but fundamental desires in life: On the one hand, the creations take you on fantastic journeys full of adventure and freedom. But, on the other hand, they wrap themselves around you making you feel safe and secure. This vision takes shape the brands workshop where Bretz strides forth with a bold pioneering spirit while drawing on over a hundred years of German upholstery tradition. Born out of a passion for the unexpected coupled with sophisticated production techniques, Bretz creates exceptional modular and multifunctional concepts. Blå Station is a family business based in a former sewing factory in Åhus, on the south–east coast of Sweden, where the ocean is as restless as the brand itself. Their focus lies on the interiors that surround us—how they are built, how they function, and how people interact within public spaces. Questions about changing social behaviours and evolving demands continually inspire new ways of thinking. To meet contemporary needs and desires, Blå Station believes in maintaining an open and innovative mindset, guided by childlike curiosity and a firm rejection of shortcuts and apathy.
