Active since 2011, it brings together designers, studios and companies under a shared identity and a recognized label of quality. Through curated collective projects at major international design events, Belgium is Design highlights the creativity, innovation and know-how that define Belgian design. By combining cultural promotion with economic development, the initiative strengthens the international visibility of Belgian talent while ensuring high professional standards and meaningful connections with global markets. Belgium is Design is led by Wallonie‑Bruxelles Design Mode, Flanders District of Creativity and MAD Brussels.

Birgitte Due Madsen is a Copenhagen-based artist and designer working across furniture, objects, and sculptural form. Her practice centres on materiality, light, and aesthetics, exploring how structure and surface inform both function and perception. Working with materials such as gypsum, resin, wood stone, and concrete, she develops pieces through a process that moves from abstraction to precise realization. The work spans custom commissions, serial designs, and unique pieces, often produced in close dialogue with manufacturers. Defined by tactile textures, controlled colour, and a distinct geometric language, each object reflects a commitment to craftsmanship and a considered approach to form, material, and use.

Lise Vester Studio is a Copenhagen–based design practice working at the intersection of craft, design and atmosphere. Rooted in principles from healing architecture and neuroaesthetics, the studio explores how materials, light and form can support wellbeing and shift perception. The work spans sculptural lighting, optical objects and spatial installations developed through hands–on experimentation in close collaboration with makers. Each piece is conceived as a sensory tool—inviting pause, reflection and a deeper connection to place and self.
