BEFORE VINTAGE FURNITURE is a Japanese furniture brand based in Hokkaido, Japan, creating furniture from valuable wood that has lost its place in the market due to irregular grain, color variations, or other characteristics often overlooked by conventional standards. Through traditional Japanese joinery, architectural thinking, and careful craftsmanship, these materials are given a new purpose and a longer future. Each piece is individually numbered, reflecting the belief that furniture gains character and value as it ages alongside its owner. Bernh. Pedersen & Søn is a Danish furniture maker established in 1902, representing four generations of family–owned production and expert cabinetmaking. Based in Denmark, the company is renowned for its dedication to high–quality craftsmanship and sustainable production. The brand specialises in timeless furniture, with a primary focus on sideboards and pieces featuring classic tambour doors. These iconic designs are rooted in the golden age of Danish modernism, specifically the 1950s and 1960s. Today, the fourth generation continues to develop and produce furniture from the family workshop, ensuring that every piece meets the highest standards of durability and style for a global market.
