Nymphenburg is one of the last and purest manufactories of its kind. Since its founding in 1747, the high art of porcelain production has been cultivated at the manufactory of the Bavarian royal family. New commissions and found objects enter the same catalogue, with each collection joining what came before and leaving room for what follows. The platform was formed as a way of looking closely, placing contemporary and found objects within a longer craft lineage and recognising their measured persistence across generations.
