These include slow-grown, certified woods, olive-based tanned leathers dyed with soluble dyes, fine woollen fabrics and ecological upholstery materials. Design / Dialogue is an exclusive exhibition leading the way for the future of design, craftsmanship and creative collaborations. The overall aim of the event is to promote design —both nationally and internationally. Design / Dialogue is more than an exhibition; it is a story woven through the stunning spaces, visionary design and artistic expressions. A–POC, the acronym of 'A Piece Of Cloth', is the name of the integrated design and manufacturing system first introduced in Paris by Issey Miyake in 1998. A–POC revolutionised the process of clothes–making with its innovative concept of a streamlined, all–in–one operation, in which all the parts of the clothing are pre–woven into a single piece of cloth. Launched in 2021, A–POC ABLE ISSEY MIYAKE aims to realise the infinite potential of the A–POC system with society in mind—hence the name 'ABLE'. The brand’s designer Yoshiyuki Miyamae and his team of engineers value the dialogue between creator and wearer, as they engage with different professions and industries to further explore new possibilities in design and making.
