Mernøe
MERNØE is a family-based lighting company established in 2021. We design, engineer and produce lighting in classic materials and LED technology. Our lamps are handmade and customized to order in Copenhagen. Engineer, Morten Mernøe, drew his first lamp on a piece of paper. Today his design can be found in international design galleries as well as the Royal Danish Library. Morten teamed up with his two sons, Jakob and Ulrik, to open a lighting design company. Morten is focusing on design and production, while Jakob and Ulrik is operating the business. Together they have a studio in Kronprinsessegade 43, where all lamps are customized and created by hand for the individual order.
Mernøe is thrilled to invite you into their studio and workshop. The exhibition will be exploring the invention of their first two designs, No. 1 & 2. On view is a collection of materials and objects used over the past two years in the design and engineering process. Mernøe is looking forward to meeting you for a drink and a discussion of forms.
