Vibeke Fonnesberg Schmidt creates exclusive bespoke lighting pieces. Working with plexiglass and brass, she develops lamps shaped by a close dialogue between colour, transparency, and form. Layered hues and shifting light create depth and visual presence, while patinated brass adds a warmer, tactile tone. Each lamp is a sculptural object that brings a composed architectural presence to a space. She also creates larger installations by grouping multiple lamps. Vibeke Fonnesberg Schmidt collaborates with Nilufar Gallery in Milan and designs for Gubi.

Material Matters is a platform dedicated to exploring the role of material intelligence in architecture and design. With more than 150 podcasts published and four acclaimed editions of its annual fair staged in London, the brand made its international debut in Copenhagen in 2025 as part of 3daysofdesign.
