2050 Furniture is a gentle rebellion for nature, people, and the future. Today’s conventional furniture industry is resource–intensive and highly centralised. Valuable local resources—such as wood waste—remain underutilised, while many people are excluded from the workforce. 2050 Furniture is created to question and even change this system. This new furniture production transforms local wood waste into high–end furniture through cooperative, local production that fosters inclusive and meaningful employment. 2050 Furniture scales through new furniture series developed in new communities, expanding a local, circular, and regenerative model of production. 2050 Furniture is Doughnut economics in practice.

Grythyttan Stålmöbler is one of Sweden’s oldest furniture manufacturers, with a long tradition of craftsmanship and Scandinavian design. For more than a century, the furniture has been handcrafted in Grythyttan using carefully selected wood and spring steel. This unique combination makes the chairs and tables exceptionally durable and weather-resistant, designed to last for generations. The characteristic gentle rocking motion of the chairs is created by the carefully shaped spring steel frame—a detail that still requires skilled craftsmanship. During 3daysofdesign, Grythyttan Stålmöbler presents Bovik, a new addition that reflects its heritage while introducing a contemporary expression to outdoor living.

Massproductions creates furniture and accessories that enrich design culture, drawing inspiration from the factory as both a production tool and a creative muse. Founded in 2009 by Swede Magnus Elebäck and Brit Chris Martin, Massproductions is built on their friendship and complementary skills. Founded in 2014 by Alessandro Sarfatti with the vision of creating and curating timeless design objects with an innovative approach and environmental awareness. Astep offers thoughtful, long–lasting and carefully crafted lighting for home interiors, offices and design spaces alike. Based in Copenhagen and produced in Italy, Astep draws heavily on the Italian design legacy of the Sarfatti family and continuously strive to remain curious and evolving.
