For 85 years, LK Hjelle has been crafting long–lasting furniture with a commitment to Norwegian craftsmanship. Unlike mass–produced alternatives, its designs are not found in every home, store, or office. As one of the few remaining Norwegian furniture manufacturers that still designs and produces its pieces in–house, the company has upheld this tradition since the 1940s and continues to do so in Sykkylven, Norway’s furniture capital. While trends come and go, LK Hjelle remains dedicated to creating furniture designed to last a lifetime. Built for longevity, each piece is crafted to ensure that no one should ever need or want to discard an LK Hjelle product.

Proof of Concept is a dynamic exhibition platform exploring the intricate and captivating processes behind design. Showcasing work from a collective of multidisciplinary studios, it highlights self–initiated projects, products that never reached the market, and designs already in circulation. By shedding light on the extensive development process, the exhibition offers a rare glimpse into the evolution of a product—revealing the ideas, challenges, and creativity that shape its journey.

Founded in the late 1980s, Davide Groppi is an Italian lighting company recognised for the production of original and unique products distributed the world over, in which simplicity, weightlessness, emotion, creative invention and amazement are the fundamental ingredients. Making light is not just a technical gesture, it is getting closer to people on a more personal and intimate level. The lighting solutions Davide Groppi invents every day are his language to seduce and excite. Lamps are like the letters of an alphabet used to write anagrams, words and stories of light. Davide Groppi work obtained prestigious international awards and became part of the permanent collections of important design museums.
