A designhub with a passion for architecture, design and furniture and with an exciting mix of contemporary designs will be at one of Denmark’s most unique locations, the museum of the Lapadarium of Kings in the heart of Copenhagen.

DDcated design hub will be a must—visit—location with more than 50 brands in the Lapidarium of Kings.

CaDot Design is a small international Danish furniture brand that first gained recognition in 2019 and became an independent company in 2023. With a strong core value of supporting emerging talent, the brand embraces collaborations with both established and lesser–known Danish designers. The focus is on combining distinctive design, functionality, and comfort. CaDot Design prioritises sustainability, working primarily with wood and steel—the most durable materials available—to ensure furniture that withstands generations of use. Prototyping and development are carried out at the same level as much larger companies, with a focus on dining and living furniture for both residential and contract markets. Additionally, CaDot Design offers expertise as a design partner for collaborative projects.

Miniforms is a bizarre entity: known for vibrant, unconventional designs and often seen collaborating with young, talented designers. The motto, “Making Craftsmanship Last,” embodies a commitment to uniqueness, where skilled hands take centre stage and machines play a supporting role to meet the demands of modern manufacturing. A strong focus on environmental consciousness underpins every decision. The Sound of Material will explore ideas centred on craftsmanship, techniques and processes. The group exhibition will be focusing on both traditional handwork and innovative practices, the works presented invite and encourage us to engage with them. With this, the exhibition asks us to think about the transformative qualities of the materials present, the intricacy or simplicity of the techniques on display, and to appreciate of the power of the objects present in our lives. Bringing together a dynamic group of designers and makers who work with ceramics, textiles, lighting, furniture, glasswork, paper and more, the exhibition will be curated by Natalia Sánchez.

Founded in 1898, Dinesen is a family–run Danish company with over 125 years of experience in crafting high–quality products out of wood. Based in the small town of Jels, in the southern part of Denmark, Dinesen is renowned for its bespoke wooden floors and surfaces made from carefully selected trees sourced from responsibly managed western European forests. Rooted in principles of curiosity, care, and responsibility, Dinesen honours its heritage while expanding boundaries, continually seeking to unlock the full potential of wood. Driven by a longstanding tradition and curiosity, Dinesen collaborates closely with architects, designers and artists to transform and reimagine wood, reflecting a genuine appreciation for the material.
