Seino Takashi Design is a design company founded in Chiba, Japan, in 2020 by Takashi Seino. Guided by the theme of universality, the studio works across interior and product design, carefully considering the relationship between people, objects and spaces while valuing materials. Its designs emerge through dialogue, embracing clients, users, materials and nature. The philosophy is inspired by the Japanese concept Sampō Yoshi—“good for the seller, good for the buyer, and good for society.” This principle guides the studio beyond profit, encouraging meaningful contributions to society and fostering long–term relationships built on trust.

The exhibition brings together material innovation, including BIO® thermopolymer, a new colour palette inspired by Patricia Urquiola, a Mediterranean approach to design and contemporary circular thinking. CONCRETE VESSELS AND RELIEFS BY SUSANNE STORM MERGE ARTISTIC EXPRESSION, MATERIAL KNOWLEDGE, AND FUNCTIONAL PURPOSE. Working with a material traditionally associated with weight, Susanne Storm destabilises this assumption. By sculpting in concrete, she has only a brief period in which to shape the work. The intensity of this creation process extends to her sculptural vessels and reliefs. The resulting forms appear almost alive, retaining the movement that generated them. Cracks, layers, and surface marks remain as traces of transformation. The choice of colour feels effortless, allowing the works to appear beautiful both together and individually, perhaps especially in contrast to modern, strict design. Suitable for indoor and outdoor use.

Copenhagen based Icelandic designer Dögg Guðmundsdóttir creates nature inspired products with emotional appeal and a distinctive touch of Nordic originality. Many of her designs are based on foundational structures or pieces of art, while others form part of a collection. For this exhibition, nature is not merely an inspiration but an integral part of the essence of the works and of the installation, created in collaboration with Dýpi—an ocean paint made from calcareous algae harvested in Iceland. Dýpi was nominated for the Icelandic Design Awards 2025 for its product that is exceptionally breathable, environmentally friendly, plastic–free, and an innovative use of abundant natural materials.
