New Works presents a collection at the intersection between old and new. Light and dark. Design and art. The collection pays homage to the strong Scandinavian history of craftsmanship and materiality, whilst challenging the contemporary forms of today. New Works collaborate with an international group of renowned designers and artisans, who display a matching fascination with sculptural forms and honest materials. Sagarminaga Atelier is a design studio and artisan workshop specialised in installations for brands and hotels, set design, and high–end décor. The atelier works with premium natural materials like esparto grass and rattan, transforming them into custom pieces with a fresh, modern aesthetic. Its multidisciplinary team explores the full potential of natural fibres through techniques like weaving, moulding, and dyeing to create atmospheres that blend beauty with environmental responsibility. Rooted in craftsmanship, its approach is innovative and experimental, resulting in designs that are both contemporary and timeless.

Nychair X is a folding lounge chair designed in 1970 by Takeshi Nii, continuously made in Japan. The simple yet elegant design, combined with comfort, versatility, and repairability, made Nychair X a chair loved by generations. Thanks to its light weight and foldability, it can be easily moved between rooms and does not take much space when folded, making it a great companion for contemporary multifunctional living spaces. By collaborating with fabric designers or brands like Carhartt WIP, Nychair X reaches out to new audiences while cherishing its original principles. Maintenance can be performed at home, and different parts can be replaced, so the chair can be enjoyed for many years. Awarded with Long Life Design and Good Design awards.
