Inspired by a creative game invented by their young sons and a folded piece of paper, two fathers began a collaboration that has blossomed into Compadite. What started with one chair has quickly expanded into a pipeline of other furniture designs and original lighting projects. The core of Compadite is the seamless combination of function and form, elegantly and simply. The aesthetic is modern and minimal, capable of adapting and adjusting to various environments and the practicalities of day-to-day life. What originated from a game invented by two boys now inspires a company dedicated to thoughtful and personal furniture design and an exploration of natural materials, rooted in the concepts of home and imagination.

Formfin was founded in 1946 and is located on the west coast of Norway. Since its foundation, the company’s passion has been to produce furniture that transforms perceptions and makes a statement in the world through powerful design and high comfort. Inspired by Norwegian nature and lifestyle, Formfin combines these elements with its designs and craftsmanship to create beautiful, timeless furniture. The company collaborates with some of Norway’s most renowned designers, as well as a new generation of young and up–and–coming talents. Nychair X is a folding lounge chair designed in 1970 by Takeshi Nii, continuously made in Japan. The simple yet elegant design, combined with comfort, versatility, and repairability, made Nychair X a chair loved by generations. Thanks to its light weight and foldability, it can be easily moved between rooms and does not take much space when folded, making it a great companion for contemporary multifunctional living spaces. By collaborating with fabric designers or brands like Carhartt WIP, Nychair X reaches out to new audiences while cherishing its original principles. Maintenance can be performed at home, and different parts can be replaced, so the chair can be enjoyed for many years. Awarded with Long Life Design and Good Design awards.
