BEFORE VINTAGE FURNITURE is a Japanese furniture brand based in Hokkaido, Japan, creating furniture from valuable wood that has lost its place in the market due to irregular grain, color variations, or other characteristics often overlooked by conventional standards. Through traditional Japanese joinery, architectural thinking, and careful craftsmanship, these materials are given a new purpose and a longer future. Each piece is individually numbered, reflecting the belief that furniture gains character and value as it ages alongside its owner. Moroso is an independent, family–run managerial company founded in 1952 and built around a corporate model that, in the encounter between Art and Industry, gives shape to designers’ ideas by balancing creative vision, industrial processes and craftsmanship, handling everything from a single bespoke design to mass production. All made in Italy. Moroso has repeatedly taken the lead in the past several decades to create collections of home furnishings that have been lauded for their artistic merits and excellence in construction. Their roster of designers includes Ron Arad, Patricia Urquiola, Ross Lovegrove, Tokujin Yoshioka, Doshi & Levien, Tord Boontje and Nendo among others.
