Blå Station is a family business located in what used to be a sewing factory in Åhus—on the southeast coast of Sweden, where the ocean is just as restless as they are. Their focus is on on the interiors that surround us—how they are built and how they work. “How do we interact in the public space? Has today's society added new demands? Has our way of socialising changed?” To meet today's demands and desires, Blå Station believes it is necessary to have an open and innovative mind, a child's curiosity as well as a heart that rejects shortcuts and apathy. This year’s news and designs are a continuation of Blå Station’s interpretation of these questions and future requirements, and the antistatic product design. Why settle for one option? MANU builds object-to-human relationships. Their objects are all ‘characters’ to live alongside — not bought and sold, but adopted. Working across waste streams, the material becomes both the starting point and the guide, allowing its limitations to shape the design of each object. They craft objects from PET bottles, lemon peels, or sand — depending on what’s available around them. MANU believes this philosophy can help us rediscover the value of finite raw materials, encouraging more respect and care for the objects we live with.

Brighton based Spark & Bell is a B Corp lighting design studio that is pioneering a new era of sustainable lighting, combining community focused craftsmanship with quality and responsible materials in its contemporary design pieces. Championing circular design principles in daily practice, Spark & Bell supports domestic suppliers and collaborates with local artisans working in wood, ceramics, cork and jesmonite. It has also taken to developing materials from sources headed for landfill, in their Brighton workshop. This appreciation for local heritage craft and dedication to sustainability is resonating with a growing customer base that values both environmental responsibility and unique aesthetics.

Finarte is Finland's leading design house for rugs and soft accessories, creating award–winning interior items for a joyful living. Founded in 1985 and thriving in the second generation, Finarte is a forerunner in sustainability, championing the use of recycled textiles and natural materials since its inception four decades ago. Inspired by Finnish weaving traditions, especially the räsymatto (rag rug), Finarte collaborates with Finnish designers and Indian artisans to reinterpret traditional craftsmanship, redefining Nordic design as they blend heritage with avant–garde aesthetics. Celebrating 40 years of rug know–how, Finarte continues to create bold and colourful collections that bring warmth and personality to any space.

Kvik has been creating Danish design kitchens, baths and wardrobes at surprisingly low prices since 1983. In 2024, Kvik Living, a line of Danish design furniture, lighting and accessories that are the perfect companion to their kitchens, was launched. Kvik introduced The Sociable Kitchen® (Samtalekøkken®) in 1998 and made their mark on life in the kitchen. The philosophy behind it is simple — a space where the kitchen is the living heart of the home. Everyone has the right to a beautiful, Danish design kitchen and sustainability is for everyone. Every Kvik kitchen comes with a calculation that tells customers how much recycled wood and how many recycled plastic bottles were used to make it and the CO2e footprint of their kitchen.
