BREAD AND BUTTER is an itinerant exhibition platform for young designers. Graduate designer Anke Neumann makes handmade paper glow in an unusual way. In her workshop, she makes large–format papers, incorporating light–conducting fibres. Similar to veins, these run through the paper surface and also form a kind of framework that contributes to the stability of the form. LED light is guided through the fibres and emitted laterally outwards in the paper layer. Together with the material aesthetics and design language, the light papers combine sculpture, luminaire and unique piece. They are not just objects that attract a lot of attention due to their shape. They are capable of enchanting a room, bathing it in poetic light.

Founded in 1934 as an artisan workshop by Angelo and Giuseppina Molteni, in the 50s the company mutates its DNA and inaugurates the successful era of industrial design.
